This policy explains what personal information the Potenza Rentals website collects, why, who receives it, and the choices and rights you have.

Who we are

This website is run by Potenza Rentals, a short-term rental business in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. Potenza Rentals decides why and how your personal information is used on this site and is the controller of that information under the GDPR, the LGPD and similar laws. To reach us about privacy, use the contact page and choose "Privacy request" in your message, or message Potenza Rentals on Airbnb.

HotelWebWorks and Cavmir, the agencies that built and maintain this site together, host it and route contact-form messages to Potenza Rentals on Potenza's behalf. They do not use your information for their own purposes.

What we collect and why

When you send a message

The contact form asks for your name, your email, your dates, the number of guests, the kind of stay you are interested in and your message. We use them to answer you, to check availability and to arrange your stay. The legal basis is your request (steps before a contract) and our legitimate interest in answering inquiries. The form also has a hidden field that catches automated spam; it holds no personal information.

When you book

Reservations are managed in Little Hotelier, the property management system Potenza Rentals uses. When you book a stay, the details you give for the booking (name, contact details, dates, guests and payment) are processed in that system to make and manage the reservation. The legal basis is the contract for your stay.

When you browse

The site does not use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies, and it does not load third-party scripts, fonts or widgets. Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, processes technical data such as your IP address and browser type to deliver the pages and protect the site from attacks. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in running a secure website.

Cookies

This site does not set cookies for analytics or advertising, so there is no cookie banner. If we add analytics in the future, we will ask for your consent first with a banner that lets you accept or reject it, and we will update this policy.

Who receives your information

Cloudflare, Inc. hosts the site and processes form submissions and technical logs (privacy policy).
Resend, Inc. delivers contact-form messages by email to Potenza Rentals (privacy policy).
SiteMinder (Little Hotelier) holds reservation records when you book (privacy policy).
HotelWebWorks and Cavmir maintain the site for Potenza Rentals and can access form messages only to keep the form working and to pass them on to Potenza.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with anyone for advertising.

International transfers

Our providers may process information in the United States and other countries. They protect it with the safeguards the law requires, such as standard contractual clauses.

Data retention

We keep inquiry messages for up to 24 months after our last contact with you, and booking records for as long as tax and accounting rules in the Dominican Republic require. Hosting logs are kept for a short period for security, usually 30 days or less.

Your rights

Everyone

You can ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it or delete it, and ask us to stop contacting you. Write to us through the contact page.

You have the right to access, correct, erase, restrict and port your data, to object to processing based on legitimate interest, and to withdraw consent at any time. You may also complain to your local data protection authority. We answer within 30 days.

California (CCPA and CPRA)

You have the right to know what personal information we collect, to delete it, to correct it, and to opt out of its sale or sharing. We do not sell or share personal information for advertising. We will not treat you differently for using these rights. We answer within 45 days.

Brazil (LGPD)

You have the right to confirmation that we process your data, access, correction, anonymization or deletion, portability, information about who we share it with, and to revoke consent. Requests to our data protection contact go through the contact page. We answer within 15 days.

Children

This site is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.

Security

The site is served only over HTTPS, and access to form messages and reservation records is limited to the people who need it. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.

Changes to this policy

When we change this policy we will post the new version here with a new date.
