Potenza
Villa pool, hot tub and the house under a blue sky in Boca Canasta

The Boca Canasta villa

Five bedrooms, a pool and a hot tub for up to 16 guests in Baní.

The villa is Potenza's one house: five bedrooms, a swimming pool, a round hot tub and a covered terrace in Boca Canasta, on the coast of Baní, west of Santo Domingo. It sleeps up to 16 guests, which makes it the place for family reunions, birthdays and group weekends by the sea.

The pool and the garden

The pool is the heart of the house. It curves around a paved deck with a round hot tub at one end, palms and lawn along the edges, and a covered terrace with a peaked roof beside the water. At night the pool lights come on beside the terrace.

Rooms for a group

There are five bedrooms with 12 beds between them and five and a half bathrooms, so a big group does not have to queue. Some rooms have bunk beds alongside the main bed, which suits families with children. The living area has a large TV wall and seating for everyone.

Inside the house

The bedrooms are dressed in white linen with carved wooden headboards, several against teal or turquoise accent walls, and the largest have a king bed with a set of bunk beds alongside for the children. The bathrooms have walk-in showers with glass screens. In the main room a built-in wooden bar and cabinet sits opposite the TV wall, with leather seating and ceiling lights set into a stepped ceiling.

Made for a crowd

The listing puts it simply: take the whole family to a place with many areas to have fun. Between the pool, the hot tub, the terrace and the garden, there is room for the grandparents to sit in the shade while the children swim.

Getting there

Boca Canasta is in the province of Peravia, on the coast of Baní, west of Santo Domingo. The trip is by car or private transfer; the flying-in pages explain the trip from the airport, and our guide to Baní and Boca Canasta covers the beach, the dunes and where to eat nearby.

What the villa includes

A pool, a hot tub, parking, a washer and a workspace are listed among the amenities, along with the bedrooms and bathrooms above. Ask the team about the house rules for groups and events when you check your dates.

Pairing the villa with the city

Some groups split their trip: a few nights on the Malecón for the Colonial Zone and the restaurants, then the weekend at the villa. Both can be booked with Potenza. See the apartments on the Malecón and our beaches near Santo Domingo guide.
