Frequently asked questions

Answers to the questions guests ask most before they book an apartment on the Malecón or the villa in Boca Canasta. If yours is not here, write to the team on the contact page.

Booking

How do I book an apartment?

Choose the kind of apartment you like on the places to stay page, check your dates, and book. The team confirms the exact unit for your dates, since apartments in each group are assigned based on availability.

Can I choose a specific apartment from the photos?

Each stay page shows several apartments of the same kind. If one in the photos catches your eye, say so when you book and the team will tell you whether it is free for your dates.

Do you take long stays?

Yes. Many of the apartments allow long stays, and the one-bedroom apartments and lofts are set up for them, with full kitchens and a workspace. Ask the team about weekly and monthly stays.

Arriving

How does check-in work?

Most apartments have self check-in with a lockbox, so you can let yourself in whatever time your flight lands.

How far is the airport?

Most guests fly into Las Américas International Airport, east of the city. Our page on getting from the airport to the Malecón covers taxis, ride-hailing, transfers and car rental.

Is there parking?

Free parking on the premises is listed for nearly every apartment. If you plan to rent a car for the beaches or the villa, mention it when you book.

What do I need to enter the Dominican Republic?

Every traveler completes the free e-Ticket form of the Dirección General de Migración for entry and exit. Our entry requirements page explains passports, the e-Ticket and customs.

In the apartment

How many guests can stay?

Each apartment on the Malecón sleeps two guests. The villa in Boca Canasta sleeps up to 16.

Is there wifi and air conditioning?

Yes, nearly every apartment lists wifi and air conditioning. One of the one-bedroom apartments lists internet speeds of 40 Mb/s for remote work.

Can I cook?

The apartments have a kitchen or kitchenette with cooking basics; most have a coffee maker, and the one-bedroom apartments have full kitchens.

Is there a bathtub in every apartment?

No. Many apartments have a freestanding tub in the main room, and some have a jacuzzi. If a tub matters to you, book a studio with a bathtub or a studio with a jacuzzi.

Is there a TV?

Yes. Nearly every apartment lists a TV, and several have a 65-inch screen.

Is there laundry?

Several apartments list a washer in the building, and others have a laundromat nearby. Ask the team if you need laundry during your stay.
